BACK TO WORK – PROGRAM TO DECREASE VETERAN HOMELESSNESS
As more and more Veterans are discharged from active duty, the number of Homeless Veterans dramatically increases. To that end, Veterans Career Xchange has developed a program that assists Homeless Veterans over the final hurdle as they transition from Homelessness into society – living wage employment. VCX has taken it’s empirically derived highly effective employment program and customized it just for the homeless Veteran population. VCX works in partnership with many Veteran non-profits committed to housing, mental health, and ultimately ending Veteran Homelessness. This perfect partnership ensures homeless Veterans achieve the wrap around services for as each of these non-profits works to eliminate some of the immediate barriers to housing, VCX works to conquer the final barrier, placing Homeless Veterans into a civilian career. VCX partners with New Directions, the Salvation Army, the Veterans Administration, and PATH. VCX is committed to ending Veteran Homelessness one Veteran at a time!
Veteran’s Career Xchange’s Back to Work Program takes homeless Veterans off the streets by coaching and mentoring them until they are able to earn gainful sustained employment that provides a living wage and prevents them from returning to homelessness. The Back to work program is a comprehensive, intensive, and customizable program aimed at every facet of the American job market. VCX’s philosophy is to leave no stone unturned, and in no population has this approach been more critical or more effective than placing previously homeless Veterans into their next career role. VCX intends to help every Veteran find his or her next career.
